Chantall Lowe Senior Director of Partner and Community Engagement

Chantall Lowe is INCLUDEnyc’s first Senior Director of Partner and Community Engagement. She oversees communications, government and community relations, operations, evaluation, and events. Chantall has extensive experience serving the disability community and a strong positive youth development lens from her previous roles at Ramapo for Children and UJA-Federation. Chantall is a native Latinx New Yorker fluent in Spanish who brings racial equity and restorative justice practices to her work. Chantall resides in the Bronx with her two children and husband. She holds a BA from the State University of New York at Buffalo and an MS in nonprofit management from The New School.

Jennifer's expertise is in strategic communications and storytelling. She's a native New Yorker, who brings a social justice lens to her work. She previously managed communications at a human services nonprofit, and her background is in public policy and government. Jennifer earned her BA/MPA from NYU.

After graduating with a B.A. from Temple University, Carly joined the Peace Corps as a Special Education Volunteer in Jordan. She then worked in a Rockland BOCES school for two years as a Substitute Teaching Assistant.
Wendy Guarado
 

Wendy Guardado

Wendy Guardado holds a Masters in Special Education from Hunter College in New York and was a Bilingual General and Special Education teacher in all content areas for six years. She was elected as her school’s United Federation of Teachers Union Leader and made the full transition to the policy sector through the Bronx Borough President’s Office. Wendy has always been conscious about providing equal access to education to the most marginalized students. She strives to challenge current systemic barriers in education and continues to advocate for inclusive policy making.

Adina Farinango

After graduating from University at Albany with a B.S. in Informatics and a concentration in UX/UI Design, Adina then joined the United Nations as a Graphic Design Intern where she was exposed to creating accessible documents for a more inclusive workplace. She joined INCLUDEnyc because she believes in more inclusive society where everyone deserves the same equal opportunities.

Pia is a Spanish language journalist with a Masters in Communications and Political Science from Universidad Gabriela Mistral in Chile. She worked as a reporter for El Diario La Prensa and NY1 Noticias, two of the largest Latino press organizations in the city for many years before joining the INCLUDEnyc team. She is excited to manage our efforts to reach and help the Latino community.

Rich joined INCLUDEnyc after years of supporting New York City's homeless and foster youth and young adult population through education, career, and personal wellness coaching. With a degree in Communications from Emerson College in Boston, Rich has a background in public relations, and experience both as an entrepreneur and in nonprofit organization management. Passionate about human rights, diversity, and inclusion, Rich is excited to manage the parent training programs and Help Line, while expanding the organization's reach and welcoming new partnerships to the INCLUDEnyc community.

From his first job after college, Robert has pursued a career with non-profit and mission-driven organizations. His personal vision is to support people and teams who work to improve conditions for marginalized, vulnerable or minority populations. Prior to INCLUDEnyc, Robert was a communications manager for Pratt Institute, where he also led data strategy and evaluation projects. In recent years, Robert held data management and analysis roles at General Assembly, the Brooklyn Public Library, and Demos. Robert earned an M.S. in Library and Information Science with a special focus on archives from Pratt Institute and a B.A. in Spanish Literature from Pomona College.

Kylie comes to INCLUDEnyc with experience from both the nonprofit space and the NYC Mayor’s Office. Working both directly and indirectly with individuals with developmental disabilities, Kylie has developed a passion for supporting underserved New Yorkers. Kylie graduated from Marist College with her Bachelor’s in Social Work and is currently pursuing her MPA with a concentration in Analytics.

After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in psychology at St. Joseph’s College, Victoria has been dedicated to working in nonprofit organizations that aim to advance and empower marginalized communities. Before Victoria joined INCLUDEnyc, she had over 5 years of experience working with communities of color, especially the Dominican community, to educate and mobilize them through civic, social and economic integration. Through her experience in working in a nonprofit, Victoria has acquired a passion for racial and social justice through an intersectional approach. She strongly believes that everyone is deserving of equal opportunities and equal rights. Victoria is excited to be a part of the INCLUDEnyc team to provide information, guidance and support to families.

LeeAnna obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Cabrini University and is currently pursuing her M.A. in General Psychology from Queens College. Her interest includes assisting underrepresented populations by advocating, educating, or simply listening. LeeAnna's previous work at UNICEF USA influenced her passion and career path in nonprofit organizations and human rights.

Lamar started his career with INCLUDEnyc as a volunteer from Job Path NYC. As Information Assistant, he performs data entry, assists with general tasks around the office, and greets and welcomes visitors.

Lori Podvesker
 

Lori Podvesker, M.S. Ed.
Director of Disability and Education Policy

Lori coordinates the implementation of INCLUDEnyc's policy work in the education and developmental disabilities systems. She has taught general and special education in a variety of urban settings, and has a master’s degree in Education from Brooklyn College. She is the parent of a teen-age son with intellectual disabilities who attends a District 75 program.
